Our academics allow students to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to grow into the individuals God has planned. Our dedicated and highly educated staff uses proven academic strategies to provide students with the tools necessary to achieve success. We follow a core curriculum supplemented with technology, necessary learning resources, virtue-based discipline and enrichment for students needing extra challenges. We are continually guided by our mission to educate the whole child.
Within the classrooms at Ascension, teachers use differentiated instruction to respond to the needs of individual learners. All students are screened with research-based assessments, such as MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) and DIBELS, and they are matched with instruction that addresses grade level requirements, reinforces basics, and meets the needs of those ready for enrichment.
