Called to Serve.

As a community of faith, ACS looks for meaningful ways to serve others. Here are a few examples of of our ongoing commitment to service:

  • Eagle Serve Day — Each fall, the entire school participates in a day of service supporting Catholic Charities. Younger students complete projects on site, e.g., creating cards for nursing home residents and packing healthy snack bags for those experiencing homelessness, while older students venture offsite to sort donations and stock shelves at TurnStyles.
  • Eagle’s Nest (School Families) — Every student at ACS is part of an Eagle’s Nest, comprised of students from every grade level and a mentor teacher. These ‘nests,’ or school families, participate in bonding activities together, often involving service to the community.

One Faith, One Family.

We value the uniqueness of every ACS family and the many meaningful ways you help strengthen and enrich our community.

Here are just some of the ways that ACS families positively impact our school throughout the year:

  • Volunteering to read to classes and plan holiday parties
  • Participating in special parish events like the Ascension Fall Festival, Halloween Trunk or Treat, or Lenten Fish Frys
  • Leading teacher appreciation efforts, such as birthday celebrations, stock the lounge events and teacher lunches
  • Serving as a buddy family for a new ACS family
  • and more!

All ACS volunteers must be VIRTUS trained. Click “First Time Registrant” on the page below to view a list of upcoming VIRTUS sessions in the area.
